Does Xoom.com (A Pay Pal Service Discriminate?
I tried to send money to the Philippines via Zoom.com which appears to be a Pay Pal service.
I signin using my pre-defined Pay Pal Credtiuals with success. Then followed PayPals guidelines to add a bank checking account to the sending money option.
Acocount was estabclhed and I was required to wait one two two days for PayPal to deposit a undisclosed verification test in to my provided bank account. I waited a day or two and a couple a small desposits were placed into my checking account.
I then signed back into Xoom.com via my then Pay Pal credituals and verified the amount which was acknollednegd as sucessful.
Then I tried to send money to my a receipiate in the Philippines to a House that I own in the Philippines.
Xoom.com Translation was indicated as successful. A few minutes later, received an email message from Xoom.com with a cancellation notice for security concerns, but did not elaborate. Per the instructions per zoom, I called the provided number and hear a recording indicating they were closed.
I then sent a copy of my Philippines Drivers license with my Philippine Home address on it, and my U.S. State ID with my U.S. Home (Owner) address per thier instruction.
I then received a reply in about 5 minutes as follows:
Ii is my opino that once the Xoom service representative saw from the ID Attached ID card that I sent them saw that I was a women and of a certantin ethnic background that more isssus needed to be revolved properly.
Xoom and PayPal had all the proof they needed in regards of the onwer of the linked U.S. Back account and previouly used Credit card which has no issues.
Opinon:
Discrimination factor, but just my opinion.
