Forester Financial – Cease and Desist
I do not know if this was a possible scam or not, but in my opinion it felt like a scam from a person who claimed to represent Forester Financial.
The person almost that when by the name Kara DeNardo came to my house and pitched a attractive life insurance planned. However, here is part of that happened described in a letter / email sent to Foresters Financials:
“On or about January 20, 2019 you (Noted by presented ID as Kara DeNardo) came to my house (invited) to for mortgage insurance protection discussion and quote.
Although I signed an application request provided by you associated with what you pointed out was a Foresters Financial Insurance checklist (copy not provided to me) and did not sign or commit to the actual purchase of said insurance; thus, refusing to provide a routing and bank account number information per your request; solidifies me not wanting to commit to the actual purchase of the mortgage insurance.
I respectfully request to cancel all applicable elements of the application that you provided / presented as a Foresters Financials document (s), and request that all documents or copies of said documents be provided to me by January 21, 2020. “ I feel the possible fraud attempt has been made as I never received the requested application (just a email / copy of it) back per my request. “
Besides an automatic email response, Forester Financial never replied. Now they send sending letters to my address which apparently means the lady Representative was in fact associated with Forester Financial. However, I am very happy my wife and I did not provide bank account numbers to our accounts or this story may be financially unsettling for us at this time.
Advise to others…. Do not ever signed anything in regards to Forester Financial without reaching out to the company itself.
In my Opinon, I felt as if I scam by Kara DeNardo who using a Hotmail email address instead of the company she claimed to represent (in this case Forester Financial) which is a red flag.
I requested my signed copy (original of the Forester Financial application back) and it was refued. I only received a photo or scan copy back via email.
Scams are alive and well in the world; if we had given out bank account number, our funds could have been automatically withdrawn.
To Forester Financial …. Please Cease and Desist any and all correspondence me or my family as we are not interested in your products and or services. In my opinion, shady business practices have tried to come into play trying to get access to our bank account for automatic withdraw purposes is not acceptable.
